Huge congratulations to our very own HortSoc member, Steven Fogel, for taking home TWO First Place prizes at the prestigious London Garden Society awards held last Friday at the Guildhall! 🥇🥇
Steven took top honours in:
🌱 Best London Large Garden with Help
🌍 Ultimate Sustainable Gardener (a brand new award title!)
“I’m thrilled to accept this award, which is also a lovely birthday present. When I realised I couldn’t rescue the planet, I decided instead on Project Waste Not Want Not in the garden. I’ve upped the game from planting up discarded pallets, raiding skips and joining up yet more water butts. This year’s mad project was building a living wall from every scrap of a huge dead eucalyptus tree. It’s life-affirming obsessiveness and hopefully sustainable for a few more birthdays.”
We couldn’t be prouder of you, Steven. Happy Birthday, and huge congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏✨
🗓️ SAVE THE DATE!
